In August 2015, the AltaGas Corporate Donations Committee donated $5,000 to B.C. Guide Dogs to sponsor a B.C. Guide puppy. B.C. Guide Dogs Services is a registered charity, of which Alberta Guide Dog Services is a division. As a guide puppy sponsor, AltaGas employees had the privilege of naming the puppy, which they called Fern. Fern is a cross between a Golden Retriever and Labrador. Fern was born on November 9 and after being raised in Vancouver, she will begin her career making a huge difference in the life of someone who needs her.
