The power plant is strategically located between California and Arizona and has the ability to serve the western states of California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. The facility is underpinned with a seven-year power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison and is directly connected to Southern California Gas and interconnects to the power gird via a 67-mile transmission line.

Blythe was the first major expansion of AltaGas’ Power segment into the U.S. and it provides a strong foothold for future growth opportunities in the region and is consistent with our strategy to increase our clean energy portfolio.
