Pool Price Flow Through Plan (AESO Pool Price)

• Ideal for businesses with unpredictable consumption patterns

• Prices vary as set by the real-time Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) hourly rate

• Ideal for clients that have budget and/or operational flexibility to offset the risk of volatile hourly power pool prices

Fixed Block Plan

• Ideal for businesses that want to strike a balance between budget stability and remaining open to AESO pool price

• Your volume and price risk are managed by fixing the price for a portion of your monthly consumption; the remainder is purchased on an hourly basis at AESO pool price

• Unused consumption is sold back at AESO pool price with debits or credits flowing to the account

Structured Block Plan

• Ideal for businesses with a large appetite for energy

• Standard wholesale products are purchased in a portfolio arrangement to closely match your consumption and risk profile

• Some examples of our standard wholesale products are Base Load 7x24, On Peak 5x13 and On Peak 7x16

Load Follow Plan

• Ideal for customers whose consumption consistently falls within a range of expected usage

• Your price is fixed for the term between +/-0% to +/-50% of historical consumption

• When consumption exceeds the upper volume limit, you purchase energy at AESO pool price. When consumption falls below the lower volume limit, you’ll sell unused contracted energy at AESO pool price

Compliance Plan & Code of Conduct Requirements

All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
