David Harris (B.Sc., MBA)
David Harris is a Professional Engineer and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of AltaGas since April 16, 2016. Mr. Harris joined AltaGas in October 2010 and has held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, President Gas and Power, President Power and Vice President Major Projects Power. Prior thereto, Mr. Harris had 20 years of construction, engineering, operations and management experience in the international energy sector. Prior to working in the private sector, Mr. Harris held the rank of Commander in the United States Navy. Mr. Harris earned an EP MBA from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Tim Watson (CFA, ICD.D)
In his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Watson is responsible for the overall financial strategy of AltaGas as well as mergers, acquisitions and corporate development. Mr. Watson spent 25 years in investment banking, based in Calgary, Houston, San Francisco and Toronto. His experience includes extensive knowledge of global financial markets and significant mergers and acquisitions experience across the entire energy value chain. Mr. Watson is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Certified Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and he holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
John Lowe (B.A., LLB)
Mr. Lowe’s duties include strategy, government affairs, First Nations, law and internal audit across the organization. He began his employment at AltaGas in 2011 as President of AltaGas’ utility operations in Canada and the United States. He later became responsible for Corporate Development, during which time he oversaw the acquisitions of the Blythe Energy Center, Petrogas, and the development of energy export projects. Mr. Lowe has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry as counsel and in business over the course of his career.
Corine Bushfield (B.Comm, CPA, CA)
Ms. Bushfield joined AltaGas Ltd in 2016 and is responsible for corporate-wide functions including procurement, human resources and information technology. Ms. Bushfield is a Chartered Professional Accountant with more than 20 years of oil and gas industry experience. Over her career, Ms. Bushfield has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the auditing and transaction services groups, Encana Corporation as Vice President and Assistant Controller, and most recently with Long Run Exploration as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Bushfield holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
Mr. O’Brien oversees the AltaGas Services (U.S.) Inc. operational and business development activities. Mr. O’Brien has held management positions in Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs within the energy industry, including most recently in the position of Executive Vice President, Public Policy and External Affairs with a large privately held energy company. Mr. O’Brien holds a degree in International Relations from Brown University, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985. Mr. O’Brien served as a Massachusetts State Senator from 1992 to 1998.
Randy Toone (B.Sc., P. Eng)
Mr. Toone joined AltaGas as Executive Vice President, Commercial & Business Development in 2016. In this role, he provides leadership for the commercial and business development teams within the gas division, aligning divisional activities with AltaGas’ strategic direction and growth targets.
His experience with AltaGas began in 2003 working in the extraction and transmission business. He progressed his career at AltaGas through senior management and executive roles in both the Gas and Utilities segments before leaving the company to pursue interests abroad. In addition to AltaGas Ltd, Mr. Toone has worked with CVS Midstream as Chief Operating Officer and as Country Manager for TAG OIL in New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Calgary and attended the Executive Program at the Ivey Business School at Western University.
Brad Grant (B.Comm, LLB, MBA)
In his role as Vice President and General Counsel, Mr. Grant oversees and provides legal counsel to corporate management on all legal matters. Mr. Grant has extensive experience in the petroleum and natural gas and power sectors and was formerly managing partner of the Calgary office of a national law firm. He is a director of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation and is Chair for Inn from the Cold Calgary. Mr. Grant holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a joint Bachelor of Laws and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia.
