Safety is our number one priority. With more than 300 employees and contractors in the field, there is nothing more important than ensuring our people get home safely each day. We consistently earn high scores on our safety audits and continue to develop our safety programs and procedures. In 2005, AltaGas became one of about 350 out of Alberta's more than 128,000 employers to receive a Workplace Alberta Work Safety award - and that's where we aim to be every year.

- Accurate reporting of any incidents in a timely and effective manner can help reduce future occurrences
- Safety performance is improved through engaging employees, customers and the community in various learning and prevention programs
- The evaluation of environmental impacts on all projects ensures that the appropriate environmental controls are implemented proactively, not reactively
- AltaGas has the responsibility to correct in a timely and efficient manner any environmental damage caused by any AltaGas activity
